Fallen tree branches troubling residents in Hyderabad

Vayupuri: As the monsoon season is around the corner, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) cut down leaves and branches to avoid any unfortunate incidents from taking place. However, the locals alleged that after cleaning, the workers leave the branches lying on the road and it is causing lot of problems to the residents.
Speaking to The Hans India on Tuesday, a local resident of Vayupuri colony said, "The branches have started decomposing and shedding foul smell. Due to rains, it is causing slush and is very difficult to pass by the slush. The path has become a haven for flies, rodents, and mosquitoes and is causing distress to us residents. Many people are falling sick, especially kids and elders. We have intimated the authorities and are waiting for their response."
