Foreign currency worth Hyderabad: A person from Chennai, working as money exchanger, lost his bag consisting of 50 thousand Euros, Pan Card, Aadhaar card and Rs 2,000 cash from a Masjid in Secunderabad under Gopalpuram police station limits.

According to the police, on Thursday one Mohammed Muradhu (30), Director of MAB Money Changer, Tamil Nadu lodged a complaint in which stated that he and his brother Meeran Mukhtar (33), run foreign business under MAB Money Exchanger Private Limited located at Chennai.

As per their business, they regularly deal with exchange of foreign currencies and as part of their business operation they come to Hyderabad for buying and selling foreign currencies.

On a business deal, he came to Hyderabad on Thursday morning and was carrying foreign currency 50 thousand Euros which is equivalent to worth Rs 39 lakh in Indian rupees.

After reaching Hyderabad, he travelled to Jain forex at Shivam road and contacted the concerned person Sajjan of Jain forex for selling the currency through phone call but realised that shop was closed on account of Holi.

As the complainant was carrying huge currency, he felt insecure and decided to go back to his native place in Chennai.

He soon rushed to Secunderabad railway station to catch a train but prior to that he went to Madina Mosque beside Ganesh temple in Secunderabad and left his bag on a chair.

Upon returning he found that he lost his black colour bag with 50 thousand Euros, Pan Card, Aadhaar card and Rs 2,000 net cash.

Based on the complaint, Gopalpuram police registered a case under section 380 IPC and took up investigation.
