Harish Rao holds meeting on vegetables, sweet corn cultivation in Siddipet
Finance Minister T Harish Rao held a meeting on cultivation of vegetables and sweet corn crops with District Collector Venkatarama Reddy, Additional Collectors Padmakar and Manjumeel Khan, DAO Sravan, Horticulture DD Rama Lakshmi, division and mandal agriculture officers and representatives of Arabindo and Brayer companies at the collectorate here on Monday
Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao held a meeting on cultivation of vegetables and sweet corn crops with District Collector Venkatarama Reddy, Additional Collectors Padmakar and Manjumeel Khan, DAO Sravan, Horticulture DD Rama Lakshmi, division and mandal agriculture officers and representatives of Arabindo and Brayer companies at the collectorate here on Monday.
He directed district Agriculture Department to focus sweet corn crop being cultivated in about 200 acres in the near-by villages.
The crop can be yielded in 70 days. Seed cultivation would increase farmers income.
A total of 126 Rytu Vedikas will be set up in the district. There are about 20,000 farmers eligible for loan waiver," he added. The minister said next review meeting will be held on Friday.
