HC asks govt to preserve bodies till Dec 13
The Telangana High Court on Monday ordered the State government and police to preserve the bodies of four accused persons in Disha murder case, who were killed in an alleged encounter, till December 13. The next hearing on this case will be on Thursday.
Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Monday ordered the State government and police to preserve the bodies of four accused persons in Disha murder case, who were killed in an alleged encounter, till December 13. The next hearing on this case will be on Thursday.
These orders were given while dealing with representation addressed to the Chief Justice on the alleged encounter deaths at Chatanpally village.
The Division Bench headed by Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan also asked the government to get the bodies transported to Gandhi Hospital from Mahbubnagar in an airconditioned van.
State Advocate General BS Prasad informed the Court that the government had followed the procedural guidelines given by the Supreme Court in investigating the encounter deaths following the Disha rape and murder case.
The bench also appointed senior advocate and former Advocate General Prakash Reddy as amicus curiae in the matter.
Soon after receiving the court orders, Police made necessary arrangements and shifted the bodies to Hyderabad amid tight security. Special police forces were deployed at Gandhi hospital where the bodies were preserved.
