Based on a petition filed by Veera Chary from Secunderabad, High Court Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan asked State Chief Secretary S K Joshi, Rangareddy District Collector, HMDA and the peetham authorities to file a counter on the petition.
The petitioner challenged the government for the allotment of 2 acres of costly land in Kokapet area at a throw away prices.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao allotted the land to the Peetham at Rs 2 per acre and also handed over the orders to the peetham head Swarupanandendra Saraswathi at a programme in Hyderabad recently. The court adjourned next hearing after four weeks.
