Heatwave continues to grip parts of Hyderabad with the temperature remaining above the normal for the season.

Though the city saw a slight decrease in temperature on Thursday at 41.7 degrees, the temperature in Begumpet touched to 43 degrees on Friday, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

Hyderabad recorded the highest temperature of 43.2 degrees on Wednesday. "The temperature may rise to 42 to 43 degrees in the next few days," said IMD officials.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the area-wise temperatures recorded in the city are Bahadurpura (41.9 degrees), Srinagar Colony (41.9 degrees) and Madhapur (41.7 degrees).
