Hyderabad: Awareness spread on road safety

Uppal: As a part of the Road Safety Week, traffic DCP Divya Charan Rao distributed roses to the commuters and suggested them to follow traffic rules. On this occasion, police organised a rally from Habsiguda Street No 8 to Uppal Ring Road on Tuesday.

Uppal RTO Ravindar Goud, inspectors Kasi Viswanath, Madhusudan, SIs Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Manikyam, Krishna Swamy, ASIs Venkatayya, Veeraswamy, Srinivas Rao, Narendar and staff were present.

On the other hand, girl students of Avinash Degree College participated in a rally organised in LB Nagar, by the traffic police as part of the 31st Road Safety Week. The rally was organised from Saroornagar Stadium via Kamineni Hospital, L B Nagar Ring Road and Court Complex. The participants raised slogans on traffic regulations.

Addressing the participants, ACP Srinivas advised people to follow traffic rules to avoid road accidents. He urged both vehicle and pillion-riders to use helmets. Traffic Inspectors Vithal Reddy, Anjapalli Nagamallu, students and police personnel, besides 100 women on scooters participated in the rally.
