On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Hyderabad-based Dr Anand, Radha Jayanthi, Chaitanya Sairam and Raysun Charitable Services conducted a mega cancer awareness and screening camp in New Delhi on Tuesday. Surgical oncologist Dr Mukta Baxi, Dr Kamakshi Baxi, Dr Sumit conducted check-ups for underprivileged people. The doctors team explained to them about cancer and its prevention.
Addressing the camp, Dr Anand said that cancer was curable if diagnosed early. He said that awareness, especially in females, about breast and uterine cancer was very much needed. Dr Anand conducted more than 150 health camps for the underprivileged till date with the support of his friends in 10 states through his organisation called Banjara Mahila NGO.
