Appreciates the initiative of ISB for organising Ideas for India conclave
Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy called upon the students and experts to come up with innovative ideas for the development of the country on various fronts.
"Participating in the Policy Conclave-Ideas for India: 2020 and Beyond" organised under the aegis of the Indian School of Business (ISB), here on Sunday, he said the ISB alumni, experts and those trained at the institute have been contributing their mite for the development of the country in various fields.
The greatest strength of India is, inheriting from times immemorial the tradition of Samvad, which is dialogue. And, the ISB has taken the initiative to discuss and deliberate ideas for a roadmap to make for strengthening the country.
Kishan Reddy said that the ideas must have enough space to grow, for which we must have a system in places that could facilitate and allow new ideas to grow and create newer areas of economic engagement.
Listing out various initiatives of the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for the security, welfare and development of the country, he said, "the vision is to make the country a five trillion dollar economy.
Besides, ensuring the fruits of development and welfare reaches every citizen." The conclave can immensely contribute coming up with new ideas addressing these issues, he added.
Referring to the recent disturbances in the national capital the minister said that spreading rumours is the reason behind such happenings and stressed for a responsible social media eco-system.
"Despite the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is not going to affect any of the Indian citizens the violence and disturbances in Delhi were resulted out of spreading false propaganda by certain political parties and reportage of the media houses," he said.
Kishan Reddy said that the country which is currently a knowledge consumer will have to grow as knowledge producer. For this, he said the younger generation should take the lead unleashing their creativity.
Later in the day, the minister visited Mangarodi Basti, Mallepally, in the city and met the families of three children who died in a wall collapse incident in Nampally and extended his condolences.
He assured all possible support to the families of the deceased.
