Hyderabad: An 'Each for Equal' programme as part of Women's Day celebrations was jointly organised on Wednesday by the Cyberabad Police and Society for Cyberabad Security Council at the Indian School of Business (ISB). Actor Rasi Khanna was the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Rasi Khanna said the police were the real heroes, and not those who act in films. She observed that there were many opportunities for women which they should better utilise. The actor quipped that when she was young she used to feel that the police jobs were meant only for men. "But now it is a matter of pride that women are taking up police jobs. It is important that we should gain proficiency in works which we enjoy'.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar, complimenting the officials, noted that the police received laurels thanks to the good work done by the women and child wing. He said the reception system implemented by Telangana was being recognised across the country.

'This has become possible mainly because of the way the women employees working in the reception wing deal with the complaints they received'. Sajjanar complimented women for showing devotion to work, while advising the women constables to pay attention to their health.

Later, Sajjanar and Rasi Khanna felicitated the mentors and Bharosa Centre Counselors with shawls. Among those present at the event were DCP Anasuya, V Hub CEO Deepti Ravula, women IT employees, students of ISB.
