Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan who have undergone COVID-19 tests has tested negative for the virus. The Mayor got tested after his driver infected with the coronavirus.
Bonthu Rammohan has gone into quarantine after a driver and attender in his peshi tested positive. The medical and healthcare officials sent his samples for testing on Thursday and were turned negative. His family members and GHMC officials breathed a sigh of relief after the mayor tested negative.
A few days ago, the mayor along with the GHMC officials have had tea at a shop during the inspection. On learning the hotel staff infected with the virus, Bonthu Rammohan had undergone the COVID-19 tests but were turned negative.
Coronavirus cases have been on the rise in the state with around 253 people getting infected with the virus on Saturday, the highest single-day spike of cases. The total number of coronavirus cases reached 4,737 and death toll to 182.
