Hyderabad: Police foil students attempt to lay siege to Bus Bhavan

Hyderabad: City police on Monday thwarted students bid to take out rally at Osmania University in support of agitating RTC workers. Police also arrested student leaders of AISF and SFI when they tried to lay siege to RTC head office Bus Bhavan here.
Expressing solidarity with RTC workers, students took out a rally from the Arts College to Ministers quarters. Mild tension prevailed when police obstructed the students and took them into preventive custody.
ABVP activists' brunt the effigy of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Arts College and raised slogans against K Chandrashekar Rao.
The student wing of the left parties also took out rally and reached the bus bhavan.
Alerted police foiled their attempt to barge into the premises and took them into preventive custody. All the arrested student activists were released in the evening.
