Hyderabad: TRS leader and Telangana Planning Board vice chairman B Vinod Kumar on Friday said that people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh would approach court against Centre's denial of increasing the Assembly constituencies in the two Telugu States.

In a press release issued here, Vinod Kumar alleged that the BJP government at the Centre was adopting double standards on the increasing of constituencies in both the Telugu States.

"What happened to the slogan of 'one country and one law'? There cannot be one law for Kashmir and another for rest of the country. Government increased seven constituencies in Kashmir but nothing in Telangana," said Vinod Kumar.

He was responding to the comments of the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy that government would not increase Assembly constituencies in Telangana and AP.

Vinod Kumar alleged that the BJP showing discrimination against the States which were not favourable to the Centre. He questioned why the Centre will not increase the seats in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

"We are not finding fault with the increasing of seats in Kashmir from 107 to 114 and we welcome it at the same time government should increase seats in both the Telugu States," said Vinod Kumar.

He alleged that since BJP has no advantage in both the States it is postponing the decision to increase seats.
