Hyderabad: Woman accuses trainee IPS officer of cheating
A woman, B Bhavana accused a trainee IPS officer Maheshwar Reddy of cheating her.
A woman, B Bhavana accused a trainee IPS officer Maheshwar Reddy of cheating her. She said that Venkata Maheshwar Reddy married her in 2018, nine years after being in a relationship. "We resided in Secunderabad after marriage when Maheshwar convinced to hide the marriage until he gets settled in life," wailed Bhavana speaking to media.
However, after becoming an IPS officer, Maheshwar said that he got a marriage proposal who has come forward to offer him huge dowry, said Bhavana adding that he also told her that his parents will not accept her as she belongs to lower caste. She also alleged that Maheshwar and his friend Nagendar Reddy harassed her.
"Despite several complaints, no police have come forward to support instead they gave counselling to her," said the woman adding even the SC commission did not help her when she approached.
