Tension prevailed for some time at the Old Secretariat in the city when a group of Youth Congress workers tried to barge into the premises demanding to stop the demolition of the buildings and to convert the Secretariat into a Covid hospital
Hyderabad: Tension prevailed for some time at the Old Secretariat in the city when a group of Youth Congress workers tried to barge into the premises demanding to stop the demolition of the buildings and to convert the Secretariat into a Covid hospital.
The opposition, Congress has been opposing the construction of new buildings in the existing Secretariat. High Court had recently given its nod to the demolition of the structures and permitted the government to construct New Secretariat.
Youth Congress workers led by Telangana Youth Congress leader Anil Kumar Yadav staged a big dharna before the old Secretariat. When they tried to trespass the high security zone, police obstructed them and took into the preventative custody. Mild tension prevailed when they were bundled into police van.
