Kothagudem: The district police have planned to introduce an Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) in Two Town police station in Bhadradri Kothagudem.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunil Dutt has informed that the system would be launched on November 2 at Two Town police station. Later, the ICJS would be implemented at all police stations.

He said by using ICJS the police could submit case details such as FIRs and charge sheets to courts online. The courts could also access the details of cases, FIR numbers, names of the accused and send details of remand orders, bail, property release and other information though online system to the police officers concerned.

The ICJS is already in use in Warangal, Karimnagar and Hyderabad. The system would help ease the workload on police personnel and could improve work efficiency, besides ensuring speedy delivery of justice, Dutt said.
