Warangal: Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences Registrar Dr Devulapalli Praveen Kumar said sports and games will improve physical fitness. Distributing sports material to the students of Government School at Vangapahad under Hasanparthi mandal on Wednesday,

Dr Praveen said that education is an essential tool for children's mental well-being, as well as physical fitness and mental alertness.

He said schools should be provided with education and sports.

Dr Praveen, who adopted the school a few years ago, has been in the forefront of its development. He donated cricket kit, volleyball, basketball, football, chess, carom board and other sports gear to the school.

As part of his endeavours, programmes such as plantation drive, and awareness on sanitation, personal hygiene, personality development etc would be organised with the support of NSS volunteers in the school from August 27 to 31.

Mana Badi Mana Badhyata convener D Kumar, High School headmaster Shobha Rani, Primary School headmaster Venkateshwar Reddy and NSS Program Officer Dr T Prabhakar Reddy were among others present.
