Karimnagar: The comments made by Health Minister Eatala Rajender two months ago about the owners of the TRS had created quite a stir among the party and in political circles.

And now, BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar's statement at a meeting in Karimnagar on Monday (November 4) had ignited the fire again.

It should be reminded here that Minister Rajender said that all those, who actively participated in separate Telangana movement have a right to call themselves as the owners of the TRS and not those, who had joined the party later for power. Rajya Sabha Member Captain Laxmikantha Rao, former Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy and Manakondur MLA Rasamai Balakishan and others had supported Rajender in this regard.

Now Minister Kamalakar's statement that TRS belongs to neither KCR or KTR. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is the only leader in the party and all the remaining are only activists, he stated. He observed that poor and middle-class people are the owners of the party and the ruling party will give suitable positions to those, who actively participated in separate Telangana movement and give prominence to weaker section people.

Reacting to the comments made by senior leaders, the TRS Working President KT Rama Rao said that there will be no owners for political parties and the TRS is the representation of four crores of peoples living in Telangana. "It is not good on the part of senior leaders speaking about ownership and declaring themselves as owners. If such comments are made again, then disciplinary action will be taken against them," KTR warned.
