Front ‘partners’ fare well in polls
Hyderabad: Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao analysed the exit poll predictions of various media outlets and discussed about the chances of the parties in the Federal Front.
According to party sources, the Chief Minister finished off his Kaleshwaram tour and went to his farmhouse and took note of the exit poll predictions by different organisations with party leaders.
According to sources, the Chief Minister was happy to note that the exit poll predictions gave good number of seats to the parties which the TRS chief has been persuading to join the Federal Front.
The exit polls gave good number of seats to DMK, TMC, BJD, Samajwadi (part of 'Gatbandhan' of SP and BSP).
The TRS chief is confident of winning 16 out of the 17 seats in Telangana and looking for a crucial role in the next government.
As per the reports gathered by the Chief Minister, the BJP is falling short of the majority and with this, the regional parties would be playing a crucial role, said a TRS leader.
The exit poll results for Telangana are also making TRS functionaries a happy lot with majority of them predicted 16 of the 17 seats for the TRS leaving out one for the ally MIM.
TRS leader Manda Jagannadham said the Chief Minister does not want the state to be on the mercy of the Central government hence he formed the Federal Front.
"If we have numbers, we can have a prime minister from our Front.
The BJP cannot get 300 seats as they claim because they have been losing successive elections in different states and the regional parties are strengthening," said Jagannadham.
TRS leader T Ashok said that there is no doubt that TRS is winning 16 seats.
