Sircilla: Being a farmer himself, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao knows the problems of farming community. Hence, he is providing an uninterrupted power supply for 24 hours to uplift the farmers, said IT and Industries Minister and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao.

After participating in various development works in Rajanna Sircilla district on Friday, IT Minister KT Rama Rao said that he was happy for participating in various developmental works in about five villages in one day. Unlike in any other State, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi's State Gujarat, Telangana is the only State, which is providing 24-hour current supply for the farming sector. Kaleshwaram project, which was constructed in record time, is to make the farmers present across the State richest in the country, he added.

The Minister said that the CM has kind heart towards weaker sections, that is why he had introduced several schemes for the people, who depend on caste professions. It is estimated that about two lakh metric tonnes of food grains can be procured this season as the crops started yielding good yield from this year onwards, he said.

"KCR means 'Kalvalu, Cheruvulu and Reservoirs'. The lake present in Almaspur village of Yellareddypet mandal will be filled with water but also will be transformed like that of Konaseema of neighbouring State," KTR said. Not only Almaspur village lake, but all the lakes present in the district will be filled with water. It is my responsibility, Minister KT Rama Rao assured.
