Khammam: Man jumps to save son, both drown in water tank
In a tragic incident, father and son died accidentally after they fell in a water tank at Gumpellagudem village in Karepalli mandal of Bhadradri-kothagudem district on Saturday.
Khammam: In a tragic incident, father and son died accidentally after they fell in a water tank at Gumpellagudem village in Karepalli mandal of Bhadradri-kothagudem district on Saturday. The deceased were identified as P Satyanarayana(45) and his son Bharat(14). On Saturday Satyanarayana, wife Suloachana and son Bharat went to the nearby tank to wash marriage cloths. After completing clothes washing son Bharat asked mother to take bath in the tank. Mother and father agreed and son entered into water but unfortunately he slipped in ditch which was dug during Mission Kakatiya works.
The boy shouted for help and father also jumped into water and tried to save his son but in vain and both drowned in water.
Mother who was on the bank shouted for help and locals who rushed to the spot brought father and son bodied out but till then they had died. Karepalli police registered case and investigating it.
Police said Satyanarayana was doing ironing of cloths and Bharath was studying in class 9 at government high school in Perupalli village.
