Parigi: Drinking water problem in the Khan Colony is going to end soon. After several reports on the dire need of people appeared in the media, public representatives woke up and took initiatives to address the issue.

It may be recalled the residents of the colony staged a roadblock during Ramazan season unable to bear the water scarcity. Learning of their hardships, MLA Koppula Mahesh Reddy visited the colony a week ago.

He interacted with the residents and assured them to provide a borewell in the colony. As per his words, the work started on Wednesday by conducting ground-breaking ceremony.

Co-option member Mir Mohammad Ali, TRS leader Koppula Anil Reddy launched the digging process. Speaking on the occasion, Anil Reddy told the residents of the colony to inform him if they faced any issues. TRS leaders Praveen Reddy, Mir Taher Ali, market committee chairman R Anjaneyulu and residents were present.
