Kothagudem cops seize gutka worth 30 lakh

The Kothagudem police seized Rs 30 lakh worth gutka packets on Wednesday. According to Laxmidevipalli Sub Inspector Praveen Kumar, as part regular vehicle check at Yellandu crossroad, they stopped two vehicles that were being driven beyond the permissible speed limit.

Upon checking the vehicles, they found Rs 30 lakh worth gutka packets and apprehended three persons, while two others escaped the police. The arrested were identified as U Srinivas Rao from Bhadrachalam, K Rama Krishna and R Srinivas Rao Kothagudem and those who escaped are B Bhadra Rao from Bhadrachalam and Balakrishna from Kothagudem. The police registered a case against the three and launched a hunt to nab the accused who are still at large.
