Stressing that during the 30-day action plan programme, each and every village across Telangana must become free from mosquitoes, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, while touring Chityala village of Wanaparthy district on Thursday, reviewed various programmes being implemented under the 30-day action plan and urged the people to come out voluntarily and cooperate with the village administration to make their village clean, neat and green and ensure that it becomes free from mosquitoes and diseases.

Wanaparthy: Stressing that during the 30-day action plan programme, each and every village across Telangana must become free from mosquitoes, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, while touring Chityala village of Wanaparthy district on Thursday, reviewed various programmes being implemented under the 30-day action plan and urged the people to come out voluntarily and cooperate with the village administration to make their village clean, neat and green and ensure that it becomes free from mosquitoes and diseases.

While giving directions to the district officials and village officials, the Minister said that they must work towards achieving all-round development of villages, where in roads, drainages, dump yards, graveyards, construction of individual household latrines and plantation of trees must be taken up on priority during the 30-day action plan.

The Minister, while touring the village, inspected the roads, drainages and dumping yards. While inspecting the village, the Minister came across a house where in a dump yard was located in front of a house. The Minister immediately asked the officials concerned to serve a notice to the concerned house owner and ask him to remove the garbage dump or else impose a fine of Rs 1,000 for littering in front of the house.

Interacting with villagers, the Minister sought to know their problems and issues and learned that the villagers were not getting Mission Bhagiratha water. Assuring the villagers, the Minister said within one month, the villagers would get the drinking water facilities and directed the officials concerned to complete the works on priority and ensure every household gets tapped drinking water.

Speaking at a public meeting organised in the village, Errabelli said, "The 30-day action plan programme is a great opportunity where every villager gets a chance to change their village. If villagers stop littering and adopt proper sanitation and cleanliness measures, definitely every village will get rid of mosquitoes and there will be no diseases."

Later, both Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy and Errabelli laid a foundation stone for the Anganwadi building in the village.
