Neredmet: The 'kalynam' of Mallikarjuna Swamy in the shrine at Vinayaknagar was organised on Tuesday on a colourful note under the leadership of Raju Goud.

Devotees walked on pits of burning coal as a mark of respect to the deity.

Among those present were Ramesh Goud, Srikanth Goud, Srinadh Goud.

Organizer Mahesh Goud said the temple has been built 180 years back in memory of Kandukuri Lakshmi Narsamma.
