Man booked for killing farmer in Asifabad

A man allegedly killed a farmer and stole money from him at Sarkapalli village in Wankidi mandal of Asifabad district on Tuesday.
The accused Athram Buddirao offered a lift to the farmer, Jalapati and took him to an isolated place. Rao hit the farmer with a boulder and grabbed Rs 30,000 from the victim.
The incident occurred when Jalapati and his son Manik Rao were heading home with the cash which they got from selling cotton produce. Buddirao offered the lift to Jalapati and eliminated Manik. After his father did not return home by night, Manik Rao approached the police.
The police found Buddiram murdered on Tuesday morning. They registered a case and are investigating.
