Management students showcase talent at CURA-20 Fest in Warangal
The two-day national-level Management Fest CURA-20 organised by the School of Management, National Institute of Technology, Warangal, (NITW) concluded on a grand note here on Saturday.
Warangal: The two-day national-level Management Fest CURA-20 organised by the School of Management, National Institute of Technology, Warangal, (NITW) concluded on a grand note here on Saturday.
The fest, sponsored by the The Hans India, SBI, NTPC, RedFM and others, was held at NITW. It may be mentioned here that CURA is a national-level management event organised every year. The event with a momentous start in 2009 is able to attract the best young managers from across the country, as the event gives a great opportunity for the management graduates to explore their talents and skills on a common platform. The organisers said that the CURA-20 is poised to make a mark on the Indian management map and carve a niche for itself in the academic and business community.
Programmes' highlights:
Prof DVSS Siva Sharma, Dean (Faculty Welfare) NITW stressed on the significance of student's contribution to society. Prof JV Ramana Murthy, Dean (Student Welfare, NITW) laid emphasis on the need of management skills which have been prevalent from the ancient times till the modern day world.
R Natarajan, Deputy General Manager, State Bank of India, presented insights on the trends in the banking system and motivated the students to become entrepreneurs. Dr V Rama Devi, head, School of Management highlighted the importance of organising management meet which provides a platform for the students to showcase their talents, skills and prove their mettle. Dr K Francis Sudhakar, the faculty coordinator provided a snapshot of CURA event that captivated the attention of the audience and the details of the events were presented by one of the student coordinators Akhil Vasam.
On day two, Srijan Pal Singh , CEO of Kalam Centre, addressed the students explaining the qualities to be followed by an individual in day-to-day life and inspiration to be taken from the life of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. His address was followed by the Business Analytics workshop by Gaurav Singh. Later, various events like business quiz, business plan; leadership arcade were conducted as part of the valedictory meet at Raman Hall. The fest was concluded with the distribution of mementos and certificates to the participants by the chief guests.
The event drew 200 management students from various institutions from all over India. Akhil Vasam said that Director NIT Warangal, Prof. N V Ramana Rao is the driving force for conducting the event.
