Mancherial: 2K Run held to create awareness against plastic usage
District Collector Bharathi Hollikeri flagged off 2K Run for plastic-free awareness
Mancherial: District Collector Bharathi Hollikeri flagged off 2K Run for plastic-free awareness, organised by Mancherial municipality, at IB Chowrasta here on Wednesday, which continued to railway station.
The Collector participated in the 2K Run and later distributed prizes to the winners of the Run. Vinay got the first prize, Kalyna bagged second prize and Srihitha got third prize.
Collector Bharathi explained the participants about the hazardous effect of usage of plastic items and called upon the people to stop using plastic items. She urged the people to cooperate to make a plastic-free municipality.
Municipal Commissioner G Swarupa Rani, town planning officer Satyanarayana, engineers Narsimha Swamy, revenue officer Ch Ramesh, Mazar, Sunil Rathod, Azim, K Shekar, Gaddam Shankar, Narayana, Mahesh, Chandraiah, and students and others were present.
