Medaram Jatara: Sammakka to arrive on to Gaddhe today
Medaram Jatara has begun on a festive note on Wednesday with the arrival of Saralamma deity on to the gaddhe. Sammakka deity to reach on to the Gadde today night.

The tribal priest will bring Sammakka from Chilakalagutta on to the gaddhe by 10.30 pm today.
Devotees are offering jaggery to the goddess after taking a holy dip in Jampanna Vagu. Mulugu collector RV Karnan has made all the arrangements to the Jatara so as not to cause any inconvenience to the people. Karnan hoped that the Jatara will end peacefully similar to the last time.
He also said that the heavy rush is expected after the arrival of Sammakka. "Keeping in the view of heavy devotee rush, we have added up another queue line this time," said the collector adding the heavy security is also deployed at the Jatara.
Arrangements were also made for the arrival of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao along with his family to the Jatara on February 7.
