Medical camp held for jail inmates
A medical camp on cardiology and orthopedic was conducted for the prisoners by a team of doctors from Medicover Hospitals at Central Prison in Chanchalguda on Thursday.
Chanchalguda: A medical camp on cardiology and orthopedic was conducted for the prisoners by a team of doctors from Medicover Hospitals at Central Prison in Chanchalguda on Thursday.
A total of 83 inmates were examined and given prescriptions by Dr Sumangali, MD Physician, Dr Rounak MS Ortho and Sk Imtiyaz, camp coordinator of Medicover Hospitals. The camp consisted of general check-up, ECG and Echo tests in cardiac diseases of prisoners.
On this occasion, The Superintendent of Prisons, Dr D Srinivas stated that the medical camp has eased the problem of escorting huge numbers of prisoners to specialised hospitals.
He also expressed special thanks to Medicover Hospitals in conducting this medical camp with services of medical officers. Deputy Superintendents S Srinivas Reddy and G Venkateshwarlu, Jailors A Venkatesham and V Shashi Kanth, Doctors of Central Prison and other Jail officials were present.
