Micro observers role key to smooth polls
Lok Sabha elections observer AK Tiwari said that it was micro observers who are responsible to inspect the polling process in the centres. He, along with district Collector Masrat Khanam Aisha, participated in a training programme for micro observers at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Thursday.
Vikarabad: Lok Sabha elections observer AK Tiwari said that it was micro observers who are responsible to inspect the polling process in the centres. He, along with district Collector Masrat Khanam Aisha, participated in a training programme for micro observers at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Thursday.
He asked the micro observers to ensure peaceful polling by inspecting the process regularly. Tiwari asked them to make arrangements for smooth conduct of elections. Tiwari advised the micro observers to notice presiding officers creating awareness to voters in casting their vote.
The Collector asked the officials concerned to see no tables within 100 metres of the polling centre and asked them to conduct the elections in a peaceful manner. She asked the officials to cast their vote through postal ballot by filling forms 12 and 12-a. DRA Johnson, lead bank officer Sumalatha, DPO Rizwana, EDSC corporation officer Babu and others were present.
