Wanaparthy: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy distributed bins to the residents of Karremma Temple colony in Wanaparthy district on Friday.

The dustbin distribution programme was organised by the authorities of the Wanaparthy Praja Vaidyashala. Taking part in the programme, the Agriculture minister distributed two bins to each household and urged the residents to fill their household garbage in the bins and hand it over the garbage bins to the municipal authorities, who visit each and every house to collect the garbage.

"If we want to see our colonies and wards clean and green, first we have to inculcate the habit of collecting the garbage in our houses and fill them in the bins and later hand it over to the municipal authorities. All these days people were just packing the garbage in plastic bags and were throwing it wherever there is some open place or in the drainage.

This trend has to go now and each and every household must segregate and collect the dry and wet garbage in two separate bins and later give it to the municipal staff, who come to collect the garbage," said the minister.
