Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu after undergoing medical tests at a corporate hospital in Hyderabad on Friday, conducted a meeting with TDP State unit leaders and assured them of strengthening the party.

Naidu arrived in Hyderabad from Amaravati on Thursday and stayed at his residence in Jubilee Hills. Leaders said that as routine, the TDP leader underwent a medical check-up at a hospital in Hitec city.

The TDP State unit president L Ramana and senior leaders R Chandrashekhar Reddy and E Peddi Reddy called on Naidu at his residence. The leaders discussed the poll outcome in the recently held Lok Sabha and also AP Assembly elections.

Though Naidu is in a state of shock on the unexpected election results in AP, leaders said that the TDP chief is confident of TDP emerging as a strong political force in the two Telugu States of AP and Telangana in the coming years.

Naidu asked the TDP leaders not to be let down by the results but work hard for a better political future of the party.
