Nalgonda: As per the direction of IT Minister KT Rama Rao, District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil on Tuesday assured of sanctioning double bedroom house to a poor student Basheera.

It should be noted here that 'Hydraulic Lifting and Rotating Wheel Chair' project of SK Basheera, a student of Government Girls' High School, RP Road, Nalgonda, has been nominated at grand finale of School Innovation Challenge programme, organised by the Department of Education, Telangana in collaboration with UNICEF and Inquilab organization, held in Hyderabad on Monday.

IT Minister KT Rama Rao, who visited the programme, was admired by the project designed by Basheera and inquired about her family status. The student replied that her father, who hails from a poor Muslim family, was confined to bed with paralysis, her mother is the sole bread winner of the family and she has sister and brother.

Moved by Basheera's poor financial status, KTR immediately called District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil and instructed him to provide 2BHK house to Basheera's family, who are presently staying in a rented house.

On Tuesday, along with mother SK Intiaz, Biology teacher Purnima and School headmaster Pushpa Latha, Basheera met Collector Patil at his chamber in Nalgonda and explained about the project.

During the interaction with Basheera, her mother and teachers, Collector Patil informed them that he will allot a 2 BHK house at Gollaguda in the town to Basheera. He also assured the student that he will get her sister Sameera, who is presently studying 5th class in police lines school in Nalgonda, admitted in local Kendriya Vidyalaya in the next academic year.

The Collector took an application for 2 BHK house from Basheera's mother Intiaz. He appreciated Basheera's biology teacher Purnima and headmaster Pushpa Latha and informed them that appreciation certificate will be given to them on Republic day celebrations.
