The forecast said light to moderate rain or thunder showers are very likely to occur at a few places across the State from June 24 to 27. No large change during the period June 28-30 is the weather outlook.

The rain is being attributed to the persisting upper air cyclonic circulation over north Chhattisgarh and its neighbourhood and the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level tilting southwest-wards with height also persists over the same area.

According to the bulletin, the trough at the mean sea level from west Rajasthan to east central Bay of Bengal across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha extends up to 0.9 km above the mean sea level.
