Tandur: Immersion of Ganesh idols was held with pomp and devotion, amid drumbeats and dances by the devotees. The idols after having received prayers for three days headed to Juntivagu near Kasimpur village on Friday.

The idols were taken out in a procession that toured the streets bidding adieu and assuring a grand comeback next year. Police arranged elaborate security arrangements by setting up CCTV cameras.

Chevella MP Ranjit Reddy and Tandur MLA Rohith Reddy, MLC Mahender Reddy, former municipal chairperson Sunitha Sampath and leaders from various parties, leaders from Hindu Utsava committee Saipur Narsimhulu, Lakshma Reddy participated in the immersion programme held at Bhadreshwar Chowk.
