Nizamabad: Two-week home quarantine is compulsory for foreign returnees, stated District Collector C Narayana Reddy. He said that about 2,203 persons from foreign countries came to Nizamabad district and they were told to stay in special rooms and not to venture out.

But even then, some of them are roaming freely in the district. Following the government orders, on Monday, he inspected Makloor Nursing College and MCH centre to set up separate quarantine for these people. He checked 52 rooms in MCH and 72 rooms in the nursing college.

The Collector directed the officials to take measures to supply drinking water, electricity and sanitation by Wednesday (March 24) evening.

The foreign returnees, who are roaming outside despite stamping, will be kept in quarantine for 14 days in these rooms, he informed.

DMHO Sudarshanam, Hospital Superintendent Nageshwar Rao, Medical College Principal Indira, hospital doctors and others accompanied the Collector.
