Hyderabad: Stating that law and order situation has deteriorated in the State, BJP spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao on Monday alleged that there has been a systematic and organised suppression of officials in Telangana.

Expressing anguish while addressing media, he said, "The security of the common man is in doldrums in Telangana when there is no security to the government officials in the State.

This exposes the deteriorating law and order situation in the State," he said.

He said incidents of atrocities against children and murders have become a routine thing.

Referring to the incident of a businessman stabbed to death in broad daylight on the roads in public view reflects the level of deterioration of law and order in the city, he pointed out.

However, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is not bothered about the seriousness and magnitude of the failure of law and order situation like Emperor Nero who fiddled while Rome was burning.

He accused the State government of tying the hands of the efficient police in the State and using them only for suppressing the people and Opposition.

Taking exception to the filing of SC and ST atrocities case against Forest Range Officer Anitha, he said, "There is nothing worse than filing cases against the forest official who suffered in an attack led by the ruling party MLA's brother."

Rao added that BJP would stand solidly behind the officials who are doing their duties extending its support to their fight for justice.

He said the party will also submit representations to the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy and Union Environment and Forest Minister Prakash Javadekar on the deteriorating law and other in Telangana and increasing attacks on forest officials in the State.
