A worker died on the spot while seven others suffered injuries after two pipes at Gouravelli pump house in Siddipet burst.
A worker died on the spot while seven others suffered injuries after two pipes at Gouravelli pump house in Siddipet burst. People working at the pump house was hit by the force of the gushing water and fell on some iron material on the floor.
Vanga Ramesh suffered serious injuries and died on the spot. Out of the seven injured workers, five of them who sustained severe injuries were shifted to the hospital in Karimnagar while the remaining two were sent to a local hospital for treatment.
Gouravelli project at Husnabad mandal in Siddipet is under construction. The works to complete the project at going at a brisk pace. The project is taken up by the Telangana government to provide drinking water for people in Husnabad.
The project is being constructed with a storage capacity of 8.3TMCft, is aimed at supplying irrigation water to a total of 1.2 lakh acres in theHusnabad, Sircilla, Illanthakunta, Manakondur and Station Ghanpur assembly constituencies.
