Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to announce some more sops to the RTC workers, who reported to duty on Friday after striking work for 54 days.

The Chief Minister is likely to make the announcement at a meeting to be organized at Pragati Bhavan on December 1 (Sunday).

The sops, sources said, may include special incentives for women RTC workers, pay hike after strengthening of the corporation's financial positions in the next six months, profit share to the employees in the future, etc.

The government has already released Rs 100 crore as an immediate financial assistance to the crisis-hit RTC. To ease the financial burden, the government has also permitted the corporation to increase bus fares by 20 paise per km from Monday.

The CM asked RTC MD Sunil Sharma to make all travel arrangements for his proposed meeting with the RTC staff on Sunday. Five employees, including two women, from each bus depot will attend the meeting.

The workers from all the 97 bus depots will reach Pragati Bhavan by 12 noon. KCR will meet them after hosting lunch for them. KCR has also instructed the RTC management to ensure the representation of all communities in the meeting.

Officials said that it will be sort of open-heart discussion with the employees covering all the issues related to the RTC.

KCR will also share the government's plan of action to strengthen the RTC by inviting private partners without affecting the employment and the schemes for the welfare of the workers in the meeting.
