Palle Pragathi accelerated development in villages: Puvvada Ajay Kumar
The government has been using every single rupee for the development of villages, stated Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar while taking part in the Panchayat Raj Sammelanam programme held in Palvoncha on Thursday.
Palvoncha (Kothagudem): The government has been using every single rupee for the development of villages, stated Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar while taking part in the Panchayat Raj Sammelanam programme held in Palvoncha on Thursday. Addressing the gathering, the Minister informed that public representatives along with officials concerned have very ably implemented the Palle Pragathi works in villages. Before the beginning of the programme, the Minister lighted a lamp.
Adding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has a good vision for the development of the State in all aspects, the Minister said villages saw considerable development after the implementation of Palle Pragathi programme. He said the Sarpanches of the villages have played a key role in the development of their respective villages.
Stating that the State government had brought in several welfare schemes for the betterment of people of the State, Puvvada said no other State in the country had implemented so many schemes other than the Telangana for its people. Aasara pensions, Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, Ryhthu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and many other schemes show the commitment of the State government towards its people, he said.
"Government spent more funds on increasing green cover in the State through the Haritha Haram programme. Besides developing nurseries, the government also provided tractors to the gram panchayats for free to take up several works in the village," the Minister added.
Mahabubabad MP M Kavitha, MLAs Vanama Venkateswara Rao and Haripriya, MLC B Laxmi Narayana, Zilla Parishad chairman Koram Kanakaiah, District Collector MV Reddy and Additional Collector K Venkateswarlu also spoke at the programme. ZPTCs, MPPs, MPTCs, District Libraries Chairman D Rajender, Zilla Parishad vice-chairman K Chandrasekhar Rao also attended.
