Parishad polls: Many file papers as Phase-1 nominations come to an end
With the last date for filing nominations for the first phase ZPTC and MPTC elections ended on Wednesday, a large number of candidates across Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Gadwal and Narayanpet districts thronged the offices of returning officers in the respective Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad offices and filed their nomination papers.
Mahbubnagar: With the last date for filing nominations for the first phase ZPTC and MPTC elections ended on Wednesday, a large number of candidates across Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Gadwal and Narayanpet districts thronged the offices of returning officers in the respective Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad offices and filed their nomination papers.
In Nagarkurrnool district, a large number of contestants filed their nominations in the mandals of Kollapur, Pentlavelli, Kodair and Pedda Kottapally mandals.
In Gadwal also, the filing of nominations by the candidates went in full swing as the ZPTC offices were full of people.
In Mahbubnagar, similar trends were witnessed in Jadcherla mandal where a lot of people came to the Mandal Parishad office and filed their nominations. In Timmajipet, Bijinapally mandals also a lot of people came to file nominations for contesting MPTC elections.
Overall, the entire erstwhile Mahbubnagar had witnessed a large number of candidates from BJP, TRS and Congress parties file their nominations for the ZPTC and MPTC elections.
