Hyderabad: A public interest litigation has been filed in the Telangana High Court against the indefinite detention of vehicles in drunk and drive cases.

The petitioner, V Prudhvi Krishna, approached the High Court against the indefinite detention of vehicles.

The petitioner, in his petition, submitted that the traffic police was not sanctioned by any law to indefinitely detain vehicles or to send communications to employers of those found driving in an intoxicated condition.

The petition is expected to be heard by the court after two weeks.
