The third and final phase of elections for the MPTC and ZPTC posts that were held across the erstwhile Nalgonda district witnessed a very good turnout as voters came in large numbers braving the heat and patiently standing in queues to cast their votes on Tuesday.

Across the erstwhile Nalgonda district, the third phase of polling was held to decide the fate of candidates for 11 ZPTC and 131 MPTC posts in Chityal, Kangal, Kattangur, Ketepally, Munugodu, Nakrekal, Nalgonda, Narketpally, Shaligowraram, Tipparthy and Chandur of Nalgonda district. While elections were held for eight ZPTC posts and 90 MPTC posts in Ananthagiri, Kodad, Chintalapalem, Mattampally, Mellacheruvu, Nadigudem, Athmakur (s) and Mothey in Suryapet district. Similarly, polls were held for six ZPTC and 57 MPTC posts in Bibi Nagar, Bhongir, Athmakur, Mothkur, Bommalaramaram and Addagudur of Yadadri-Bhongir district on Tuesday.

The average poll percentage in Yadadri-Bhongir district was 88.40 followed by Nalgonda with 85.50 and Suryapet with 85.04.

Respective district police made security arrangements at all polling centres and villages to avoid any untoward incidents during the polling.
