Poor quality alleged in 2BHK works
The construction of 2BHK houses here has been moving at a snail’s pace. Even the quality of construction is also not up to the mark. Inferior quality is clearly visible in many areas.
Zaheerabad: The construction of 2BHK houses here has been moving at a snail's pace. Even the quality of construction is also not up to the mark. Inferior quality is clearly visible in many areas.
As many as 1,400 houses were allotted to the constituency. The works for construction of 1,100 houses in the first phase were commenced in Zaheerabad and Digwal and for 75 each in Nyalkal, Mogudampally, Jharasangam and Kohir mandals. Even the land acquisition for the construction of two-bedroom houses was not done in some mandals. But, the on-going constructions are in poor condition due to lack of supervision.
The recent rains caused damage to many houses under construction. The basement developed cracks and the bricks and stones fell down at some places. When asked about the incident, the housing DE A Yadaiah admitted that it was their fault.
He told The Hans India that they would rectify and fix the cracks. The beneficiaries of the two-bedroom houses are worried about the quality of construction. They appeal to the higher officials to inspect the works periodically and to ensure the quality of the construction.
