Ch Jayaram, Station Director Secunderabad Railway Station said, "Each train is expected to see 1,200 to 2,000 rise in passengers but there are several special trains."
Five special trains were pressed into service from Secunderabad Railway station.
On an average, the station caters to one lakh passengers a day but during festive season the number touches 2 lakh and above.
