Hyderabad: Telangana State Election Commission (TSEC) Secretary M. Ashok Kumar on Wednesday clarified that the final polling percentage in Phase-I for MPTC, ZPTC elections in Mancherial district was 76.34% and not 66.86%.
He said that the polling figure of 66.86% was a clerical mistake taking 145,074 as total votes. Actually, the total voters of Mancherial district in Phase-I mandals were 127,074. Of them, as many 97,002 votes were polled. Therefore, the actual poll percentage is 76.34% but not 66.86%.
