Tandur: The Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA) coordinator G Ravikumar said the women self-help groups (SHGs) should avail of loans and make use of them productively. He conducted a meeting with SHGs and Banks, here on Thursday.

Ravikumar said women who availed loans should repay regularly to get more loans and grow financially. He said that 9,800 members are there in 980 SHGs in the district. The mission coordinator suggested bankers to provide loans to the street vendors as per the directive of the supreme court, adding 533 such vendors are identified. Mission coordinators of Vikarabad, Kodangal, Tandur, Venkatesh, Venkat Reddy and others were present.
