SHE teams registered more than 8K cases against eve-teasers: HM Mahmood Ali
Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Sunday said that SHE teams across the State registered 8,055 cases on the miscreants who harassed women.
Hyderabad: Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Sunday said that SHE teams across the State registered 8,055 cases on the miscreants who harassed women.
Replying to a question raised by Ajmeera Rekha, M Padma Devender Reddy and Gongidi Sunitha, the Home Minister stated that 2,554 FIRs and 5,501 petty cases were booked till now.
He said 100 SHE teams in Hyderabad and 60 teams in Cyberabad are working for the protection of women. He further added that in each district and Commissionerate 2 to 6 teams are working efficiently.
The Home Minister said the services of SHE teams extended across the State in April 2015, after getting good results by setting up the SHE teams during October 2014 in Hyderabad and during December in Cyberabad.
