Karimnagar: By taking welfare schemes introduced by the State government into the public, TRS activists and leaders must strive hard with an aim to win Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, appealed Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar.

A preparatory meeting was held with senior leaders of Dharmapuri constituency at his camp office in Karimnagar on Tuesday. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Eshwar said that during the election campaigning, the TRS activists and leaders must explain to the people about the achievements of the TRS government during the past six years and also the failures of Opposition parties. The leaders of various Opposition parties must know the power and strength, which the TRS has among the public, he added.

"Telangana State was formed after several movements, sacrifices of many people and dharnas and agitations. During the separate Telangana movement led by the TRS, it faced several ups and downs and bad experiences. By taking certain events that are faced by the party in the past as inspiration, the party activists and leaders must move forward," he appealed.

Minister Koppula Eshwar said that this kind of opportunity will not come again and again. The party will help only on some occasions only, but it is the responsibility of the leaders to understand the leadership and cooperate to take the party widely into the people, he added.
